Innovative Science
Sahara Dry uses cutting edge nano-technology and innovative processes to create the best grip science can provide. Chalk has been used to aid grip for at least 150 years, with the first recorded usage at the 1896 Athens Olympics, and is still used today by some of the world’s best athletes. Sahara Dry’s advanced technology moves grip forward in line with scientific improvements in bio-mechanics, nutrition, aero and aqua dynamics, and equipment.
Super Hydrophobicity
Sahara Dry uses super-hydrophobic materials and innovative processes that were once too expensive for use in sports grip technology. The modified silica in Sahara Dry has a large and extremely rough surface area, which causes water to spherify, The surface tension created in the sweat, rain, dew, sea water, or just plain water stops it entering the wrinkles on the hand / feet, and it is removed by movement or evaporation before it is noticed.

Oleophilicity
Sahara Dry’s active ingredients are extremely porous so can absorb oil, as that does not have the same surface tension as water. When applied to the skin, Sahara Dry absorbs the sebum, creating enhanced grip through dryness and friction.

Effective on Multiple Surfaces
Sahara Dry uses alcohol to carry the active ingredient on to the skin or other sufraces, from where it evaporates quickly. As long as the contact surface has some roughness, the modified silica can adhere to it and provide the super-hydrophobic effect. This unique powder repels water wherever it is, and Sahara Dry’s sports specific formulations ensure elite peformance if sprayed on hands, feet, equipment, or shoe soles.

Invisible, Odorless, & Safer
The modified silica is better than magnesium for 2 reasons. Firstly, the particles in Sahara Dry are much smaller, and much less is needed, so it is more efficient and cleaner. Secondly, the particles are super-hydrophobic, so they will not combine with water or sweat to form a paste. Only sweat or water will fall to the floor, and most will evaporate before it gets there as it is microscopic. This means that Sahara Dry is cleaner for floors, equipment, and also the lungs.
